Starving Artist Movers is a full service moving company based out of sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. Since our start in 2016 with two artists and a pickup truck., we quickly grew in size due to our commitment to top quality moving and fair, friendly business. We provide full size residential and commercial moving services, as well as small deliveries and specialty requests by providing smart, careful, and efficient service at affordable prices. Does your team provide wrapping and padding of the furniture?
Yes, our team comes equipped with shrinkwrap, moving pads, and dollies to safely protect and move your furniture, all at no extra cost.
How does your hourly rate work?
Our hourly rate includes a truck, any equipment we use such as shrink wrap, furniture pads, and dollies, and a team of movers. The size of the team will depend on the size of the move, and will be discussed and agreed upon by both parties prior to your move. (Two, or three mover teams are most typical.) Our rates begin at the moment we begin moving your items at pickup location, and end once your items are in your new location, where you'd like them placed. Drive time between the pickup and drop off location is included in the total hourly time. For moves that begin or end outside of a thirty minute drive time from our headquarters, our hourly rate will begin at thirty minutes into the drive.
How is payment handled?
Payment is handled upon completion of the move, once your items are exactly where you'd like them. We accept payment in the form of cash, check, or debit / credit card.
Are you licensed and insured?
Starving Artist Movers LLC is fully licensed and insured under the regulations required by the State of Florida. Our license number is IM2765.
What happens if a piece of furniture is damaged?
While we pride ourselves on our excellent track record of not damaging pieces, accidents happen. In the event of a damage to a piece, please contact our office immediately (727 644 1599), and we will work with you to honor any claim.
Do I need to empty all furniture before my move?
We do request that you remove any breakable or fragile items from your furniture before our arrival. While we recommend that you remove any and all loose items from your furniture, if there are clothes or linen in them, we may still move the item as is.
