Does your team provide wrapping and padding of the furniture?
Yes. Every Starving Artist Movers crew serving St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater, and the Tampa Bay area arrives equipped with shrink wrap, moving pads, and dollies at no extra charge.
How does your hourly rate work?
Our hourly rate includes a truck, any equipment we use, such as shrink wrap, furniture pads, and dollies, and a team of movers. The size of the team will depend on the size of the move, and will be discussed and agreed upon by both parties before your move. (Two- or three-mover teams are most typical.) Our rates begin at the moment we begin moving your items at the pickup location and end once your items are in your new location, where you'd like them placed. Drive time between the pickup and drop-off location is included in the total hourly time. For moves that begin or end outside of a thirty-minute drive time from our St. Petersburg headquarters, our hourly rate will begin at thirty minutes into the drive.
How is payment handled?
Payment is due upon completion once your belongings are exactly where you want them. We accept cash, check, and debit or credit card. We serve customers throughout St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater, Bradenton, Dunedin, Tarpon Springs, and Sarasota.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Starving Artist Movers LLC is fully licensed and insured under Florida state regulations. Our Florida mover license number is IM2765. We are one of the fully licensed and insured moving companies in St. Petersburg serving the greater Tampa Bay area.
What happens if a piece of furniture is damaged?
While our moving crews take every precaution, accidents can happen. Contact our office immediately at 727-644-1599 and we will work with you to honor any damage claim promptly.
Do I need to empty all furniture before my move?
We ask that you remove breakable or fragile items before our movers arrive. Clothes and linens can often stay in drawers, but we recommend removing all loose items when possible.
Do you offer packing services?
Yes. Starving Artist Movers provides professional packing services throughout St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater, and the Tampa Bay area. Our crew wraps, boxes, and labels your belongings so everything arrives safely at your new location.
