Starving Artist Movers is a full service moving company based out of sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. Since our start in 2016 with two artists and a pickup truck., we quickly grew in size due to our commitment to top quality moving and fair, friendly business. We provide full size residential and commercial moving services, as well as small deliveries and specialty requests by providing smart, careful, and efficient service at affordable prices. Started by local St. Pete musician Blake Daniels in 2016, our staff is exclusively comprised by local artists and musicians. We believe that artists are uniquely equipped to help you move in a careful, friendly, and efficient way. Here's a little more to help you get to know us!
Blake Daniels
Owner / Operator / Team Leader
A St. Petersburg native, Blake founded Starving Artist Movers in 2014 with just a pickup truck. Prior to starting this company, he helped manage Lakeview Movers in Chicago IL for 5 years. When he's not helping St. Pete with it's moving services, he's an accomplished local musician who's proudly been featured prominently on local radio station WMNF 88.5, as well aa in Creative Loafing Magazine and playing show's with his band all around the Tampa Bay Area.
Josh Barbour
Head Manager/ Team Leader
Born in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, but raised in St. Pete. Josh Barbour joined Starving Artist Movers in 2016. Alongside Blake he helped build the company into what it is today through his experience, attitude, and attention to detail . Josh is also a musician and you can find him playing in various projects all around the Tampa Bay area. When he's not providing excellent moving services, you can catch his psychedelic jam band "Moon Show" at all of St. Pete's best live music venues.
Anthony Saunders
Team Leader / Team Member
Originally from the Venice/Sarasota area, Anthony has been on the Starving Artist Movers team near it's official inception as well. His careful and efficient workmanship has helped countless folks and families into their new homes all around St. Pete and the Tampa Bay area. He's also a talented pianist, bassist, and songwriter and you can find him performing in various projects around Tampa Bay.
Justin Higgins
Team Leader / Team Member
Born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, Justin has over a decade of experience in the moving industry. His many years of work experience on live music and film sets has fine tuned his efficient and careful moving skills. Also a visual artist and creative thinker, he's involved and integrated in a wide ranging variety of local St. Pete art projects and events. When he's not helping St. Pete move, you can find him participating in art events around the Tampa Bay Area.
